An artist’s life isn't always easy. You’re always on the move within your self, on the canvas or within the sculptures. Looking for new ideas, forms and devolvement’s. But with making art 24 hours a day, your not there yet.

As an artist you need a voice, ears and eyes in the 'real' world. I think that I am one of the luckiest artists in this world. Renske Groenendijk is the woman in my life who, as one of the few people understands who I am and what I want to achieve in this life. She and I together feels to me like 3.

As I'm making art, Renske keeps in contact with the galleries, art lovers and press. To me it means a lot more creative freedom, no worries about the things around the art business.

Renske has a very good intuition about art. She was therefore trained by here grandfather Cees Groenendijk Who was a very well known art collector. He was one of the first art collectors who supported the Cobra art group in the Netherlands . Cees Groenendijk and his wife Pau Voute where especially found of the artist Lucebert, they collected and described there collection very well. It is one of the most complete Lucebert collections that there is. At the end of his life, Cees donated there collection to the stedelijk museum in Amsterdam so many people can now enjoy it.

It was here grandfather Cees Groenendijk who inspired en learned Renske about art and the importance of it.

Now Renske lives together with Botas in their home and Studio in the North of the Netherlands . They enjoy working together and are very pleased that the world responses so well to the Botas paintings a sculptures all around the world.
